The RDDA proudly presents the X-Halt-Salute Virtual Dressage Show May 21 - June 13, 2021 with Judge Kim Vos. Due to existing COVID concerns and restrictions, the ability to organize and host in-person shows is temporarily on pause. In its place, the RDDA is providing a video submission show. The dates of the show during which you can submit your recorded test will be over a two-week window from May 21 - June 13, 2021. Our judge is Kim Vos who is an EC Medium Level judge. To participate, riders will record their test(s) and then upload them to YouTube. A completed registration form will be submitted to the RDDA along with a fee of $25 per test that is submitted for judging. RDDA members will receive a $5 discount on each test they submit and will also be eligible for prizes. Prize categories will include: High Score Open/Junior, High Score Western Dressage Open/Junior, and best Turn out. To be entered for the best turnout prize, please submit a photo of you and your horse from the day you recorded your test. Riders will have the choice of which tests they would like to ride, and how many they would like to submit for judging. Tests to be used are EC for classical dressage and WSDAC for Western Dressage.

RDDA in partnership with Equi-Health Canada Safety Training is pleased to offer a Safe Trailering Clinic on Sept 20, 2020 at Bridlewood Farms in White City, SK.
Hauling season is upon us and there are a lot of technical aspects to loading and hauling horses safely and comfortably. Whether you are hauling nationally or looking into buying your first trailer you will benefit from this full day clinic. Equi-Health Canada has developed an accredited hands on course developed with industry experts and first responders to prepare horse owners for emergencies during transport. We cover: -equipment safety -trailer construction and layout -ensuring appropriate truck/trailer/load weights -licensing and insurance requirements -legal aspects of hauling livestock -ensuring health and wellness of horses during transport -accident protocols and procedures MORE DETAILS TO FOLLOW Email: [email protected] to register Further to direction given from Equestrian Canada today suspending sanctioned events until June 1, 2020, the R.D.D.A. will be cancelling the Freeze or Fry show which was scheduled for May 23-24. As disappointing as this is, we are supportive of measures being taken towards minimizing the spread of COVID-19.
We hope you all can continue to enjoy your horses, perhaps in a different way and without the agendas that shows can influence. There is a lot of uncertainty moving forward, but once things go back to normal the RDDA will look at organizing schooling shows or test days that can allow us to reconnect and reignite the excitement for showing. Until then, take care and be safe! ❤️ RDDA in partnership with Equi-Health Canada Safety Training is pleased to offer a Safe Trailering Clinic on May 3, 2020 at Bridlewood Farms in White City, SK.
