"From the Judge's Chair" - Judging Clinic 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. May 26, 2013 Clinician: Doreen Horsey Location: Bridlewood Farms, White City, Sask. This clinic will be of interest to riders, coaches, those interested in becoming provincial dressage judges as well as anyone interested in becoming more knowledgeable in the sport of dressage. The clinic will be divided into two parts. The morning session will be a classroom theory session and will consist of "need to know rules," dressage terminology, discussion of the training scale and how it relates to the levels, marks, judge's comments and what they mean and much more. Information on the requirements needed in order to become a provincial dressage judge will also be discussed. The afternoon will be a practical session at Bridlewood Farms with demonstration riders. Riders will be asked to ride a test, will be critiqued, shown ways to improve their ride and will be given the opportunity to re-ride their tests. Cost of this clinic (including lunch) is $75 and is payable to the Saskatchewan Horse Federation. S4P 0S4 Clinician Doreen Horsey is an Equine Canada Senior Dressage judge and a licensed USEF "S" judge. She is actively involved with Dressage Canada as a member of the Official's Committee. Personal riding accomplishments include Provincial and National awards, championships - Basic Level through to Grand Prix. She was long listed in 1989 & 1990. Her judging assignments take her across Canada and throughout the U.S. Doreen lives in Calgary, Alberta.
